Introduction to MoMoDelhi

Mobile Monday's Delhi Chapter aims to bring together mobile enthusiasts, developers, technologists, business folks, entrepreneurs, VCs under a common forum. The chapter would channelize efforts to develop an active mobile community that can network and share information.

MoMo plans to follow the "unconference" methodology wherein it will provide a platform for freewheeling discussion between everybody* interested in Mobile Technologies.

Mobile Monday is for you if you are a

  • Mobile Developer (Application/Middleware/System/Hardware) or Enthusiast (Gamer/Power User/User in general and want a feature implemented)
  • Mobile Service Provider or Content Provider or Content Aggregator
  • Venture Capitalist, Technocrat, Entrepreneur

How did Mobile Monday begin?

The remarkable Mobile Monday phenomenon began almost by accident in Helsinki, Finland during the chilly autumn of 2000. Vesa-Matti 'Vesku' Paananen, a well-known Finnish mobile visionary, invited more than fifty mobile innovators to an Irish pub for an informal get-together and perhaps a drink. The only suitable time? You guessed it, Monday evening. After meeting many new faces and discussing the latest in mobility, the group decided to continue meeting on the first Monday of each month – and Mobile Monday was born.
